Economy Shipping to the USA

At Bashers, every pair of boots is made with care in South Africa before beginning its journey to you. We know that once you've placed your order, you're excited to receive your new footwear, so we want to be completely transparent about how our Economy Shipping option works.

Why We Offer Economy Shipping

One of our goals has always been to make Bashers Footwear more accessible to our international customers. Shipping from South Africa to the USA can be expensive, so we've partnered with Tunl and UPS Ground Saver to offer a significantly more affordable shipping option.

This service helps reduce the overall cost of getting your Bashers to your doorstep, allowing you to save money without compromising on the quality of the product you're receiving.

The trade-off is simple: it takes a little longer—but for many customers, the savings are well worth the wait.

How the Economy Shipping Schedule Works

Our Economy Shipping service operates on a strict weekly schedule.

Tunl has a Tuesday cut-off each week for all Economy shipments leaving South Africa. This means we need to have your order prepared, packed, and delivered to their facility before that deadline.

Because of this:

Orders placed before 5:00 pm (South African time) on Monday will usually make that week's Tuesday cut-off.

Orders placed after 5:00 pm on Monday will unfortunately miss the Tuesday collection and will be booked onto the following week's shipment, which departs over the following weekend.

While this may add approximately one extra week before your parcel leaves South Africa, it is simply part of how this lower-cost international shipping service operates.

For this reason, we recommend allowing up to 3 weeks for delivery when selecting Economy Shipping (UPS Ground Saver).

Why It Takes Longer

Unlike Express courier services, the Economy option is consolidated with other international shipments before entering the USA. This process dramatically reduces shipping costs, making it one of the most cost-effective ways of getting premium South African-made footwear across the world.

Once your shipment reaches the United States, UPS Ground Saver takes over the final delivery to your address.

It isn't the fastest option—but it is one of the smartest if you're looking to save on shipping costs.

Need Your Order Faster?

If you're purchasing a gift, travelling soon, or simply can't wait to lace up your new Bashers, we recommend selecting one of our Express shipping options.

Our UPS Express and FedEx services can usually be collected much sooner, often as early as the next business day after your order is ready. Although these options cost more, they significantly reduce the overall delivery time.
